Half the fur you brush out never makes it into the bin. Dry brushing lifts the loose undercoat and sends it straight into the air - onto your clothes, back onto the sofa, into the corners of every room. You end up doing the grooming and then doing the hoovering.
This comb mists as you work. A fine spray comes out through the head, the coat stays slightly damp, and damp fur clumps together instead of floating. It collects inside the comb rather than in the air, and one press on the release lifts the whole clump out in a single piece. No picking hair out of bristles with your fingers.
Who it's for
Cats and dogs, short coats and long. Most useful during a shedding season, on double-coated breeds, and in homes where the fur situation has become a daily problem rather than a weekly one.
Also worth it if your pet dislikes being brushed - the rounded tips and the light massage action make it a very different experience from a slicker brush.
Who it isn't for
It works loose fur out of a coat; it won't cut through mats that have already formed tight against the skin. Those need to be worked apart by hand or clipped out. And on a very heavily matted coat, wetting the fur makes matting worse, not better - sort the mats first.

How to use it
Fill the tank with water or a diluted pet conditioner and close it. Brush in the direction the fur grows, in short strokes, misting lightly as you go - the coat wants to be slightly damp, not wet. When the head fills up, press the release over a bin and the fur drops out. Empty and rinse the tank afterwards.
Care and safety
Empty the tank after every session so nothing sits inside it and dries. Use water or a pet-safe conditioner only - human products are the wrong pH for animal skin. Don't use on broken or irritated skin, open wounds, or matted fur that needs cutting out first. Stop if the skin looks red. For pet use only; not a toy, keep away from children.
