Most bowls sit flat on the floor, which means your dog or cat eats with their head down and their neck bent for the whole meal. Younger animals cope with it. Older ones, and anything with a stiff neck or sore joints, don't - and you tend to notice it in how slowly they straighten up afterwards.
This one lifts the dish off the floor and tilts it towards your pet, so food gathers at the near edge and they can reach it without craning down. The dish is ceramic rather than plastic, and it lifts out of the stand so both parts clean properly.

Cats and small to medium dogs. Most useful for senior pets, animals with neck or joint stiffness, and flat-faced breeds who struggle to reach the bottom of a deep bowl. Also worth it if your pet shoves their bowl halfway across the kitchen while they eat.

How to use it
Sit the dish into the stand and put it where your pet already eats. Give them a couple of days to adjust - some pets need a meal or two before the new height feels normal. Lift the dish out to wash it; the stand wipes down.
Care and safety
Wash with warm soapy water and dry before refilling. Ceramic chips if it's dropped on a hard floor, so check the rim before each use and replace the dish if you find a chip. Not suitable for large or giant breeds, who need a taller stand than this one. For pet use only.
